Loyal supporters of the pop star are urging that a person who leaped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors walked down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another response on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.
