Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial important achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
