The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, fiends, and dark forces expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of heroes who will split off from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the team enter locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

According to episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
